Featured Advocacy Efforts

My advocacy work extends beyond podcast episodes, focusing on direct, compassionate support for families affected by cold cases. Each partnership I form reflects my dedication to raising awareness, honoring victims, and addressing the unique needs of every family I work with. These are just a few of the cases I’m privileged to support—follow my Instagram for updates on these and other ongoing advocacy efforts.

Leon Laureles

On May 10, 1996, 30-year-old Leon Laureles was found murdered just off FM 2126 in rural Brown County, Texas. He had been shot execution-style next to his car, which was set on fire. Since then, there has been little news coverage of Leon’s murder or the subsequent investigation. Authorities have not identified a motive or publicly named any persons of interest.

In collaboration with Leon’s niece, Arlene Harbison, I work to keep Leon’s story alive and visible. Together, we’ve shared his case on multiple podcasts and written press releases to invite additional media coverage. I’ve attended rallies in Leon’s honor and contributed to awareness campaigns by creating friendship bracelets, postcards, flyers, and other materials. Every effort is focused on ensuring Leon’s life and legacy are never forgotten.

Brandy Hutchins

On November 12, 1988, 14-year-old Brandy Dawn Hutchins was found in the root cellar of an abandoned house on Whippoorwill Road in Coal Hill, Arkansas. She had been shot just above her right eye, only a week after celebrating her birthday. Now, 36 years later, Brandy’s murder remains unsolved, leaving her family desperate for answers.

Partnering with Brandy’s cousin, Julie Millard, I strive to bring Brandy’s story to a wider audience through podcasts, press releases, and media outreach. I’ve attended a rally in Brandy’s memory and continue to support her family’s advocacy through projects such as friendship bracelets and informational flyers. My goal is to honor Brandy’s life while amplifying her family’s efforts to keep her story in the public consciousness.

Bryan “Vladek” Hasel

Vladek Hasel was last seen on November 6, 2021, on CCTV/body cam footage at “Foxtail Coffee Co.” on University Blvd in Orlando, Florida. His last reported encounter was at his apartment complex, “The Place at Alafaya,” on November 15, 2021. There have been no reported sightings since that time.

Working with Vladek’s sister, Bethany Hasel, I’ve dedicated myself to raising awareness about Vladek’s disappearance. Together, we’ve engaged multiple podcasts, press releases, and media outlets to share his story. I’ve attended a vigil for Vladek and supported Bethany through initiatives like friendship bracelets, business cards, and postcards.

I’ve also participated in live streams with Bethany and developed a comprehensive research document for Vladek’s case, which has resulted in additional media coverage. Every effort is aimed at ensuring Vladek’s case remains visible and that his family feels supported.
